A tightly packed Friday-night-to-Sunday-afternoon itinerary based out of Ponca, hitting Lost Valley, Hemmed-In Hollow, Hawksbill Crag, and a slow loop through Boxley Valley at dusk for elk.

The plan

Friday PM
Arrive Ponca, settle into cabin, drive Boxley loop at dusk for elk.
Saturday
Compton Trail to Hemmed-In Hollow Falls (5 mi, all day). Dinner in Jasper.
Sunday AM
Lost Valley Trail to Eden Falls, then Hawksbill Crag for sunset before heading home.
