The plan
- Morning
Arrive at Lost Valley by 8 AM to beat crowds. Lost Valley Trail (2.8 mi, very easy) to Eden Falls and the cave.
- Midday
Drive back toward Ponca — keep an eye out for roadside cascades after rain.
- Lunch
Pick up sandwiches in Ponca or bring your own.
- Afternoon
Swim at the Ponca low-water bridge or drive down to Steel Creek Campground for a deeper river hole.
- Dinner
Head back to Jasper for dinner options. Low Gap Cafe, Jasper Pizza, or The Ozark Cafe.
