The hike
A short, mostly level trail from the Tyler Bend Visitor Center leads to the Collier Homestead — a preserved 1928 log cabin, barn, and outbuildings of Sod and Ida Collier, the last family to homestead on land that would become Buffalo National River. The trail continues a short distance to a bluff-top overlook of the river and Big Creek. A perfect stop for families and history lovers.
