Buffalo National River, Middle District
Named for the circular plunge pool carved into the bedrock at its base — a natural washtub worn smooth by centuries of flowing water — this middle district waterfall is one of the more unique geological features in the Buffalo River watershed. The pool itself is deep enough to swim in during high water, making it a summer destination even outside prime waterfall season. Seasonal flow; best after rain. Exact trailhead details are limited — ask locally for current access conditions.
