The falls
Punchbowl Falls is one of dozens of 20 ft ribbon falls that ring the Buffalo River watershed. It runs hardest in late winter and early spring, when snowmelt and Ozark thunderstorms recharge the creeks. Detailed route notes for this falls are coming soon — check back for trailhead directions, GPX, and current conditions.
Getting there
Same trailhead as Stack Rock Homestead Falls. Hike to Stack Rock (~2.0 mi round trip), then continue another 3.4 miles to Punchbowl Falls (aka Dry Creek Falls) for a ~5.4-mile total round trip. The Punchbowl extension is the difficult portion of the day — a downloaded GPS track is recommended.
