The falls
Stack Rock Homestead Falls is one of dozens of 35 ft ribbon falls that ring the Buffalo River watershed. It runs hardest in late winter and early spring, when snowmelt and Ozark thunderstorms recharge the creeks. Detailed route notes for this falls are coming soon — check back for trailhead directions, GPX, and current conditions.
Getting there
Easy ~2.0-mile round-trip walk from the trailhead. Same trailhead as Punchbowl Falls (aka Dry Creek Falls) — continuing past Stack Rock to Punchbowl adds another 3.4 miles for a 5.4-mile total day; that extension is more difficult and a GPS is recommended.
