Buffalo National River, Middle District
Copperhead Falls sits along the Indian Creek drainage within the Buffalo National River, accessible via the Indian Creek Trail from the Steel Creek area. A satisfying 13 ft cascade that runs strong after heavy rain — when the creek is really up, it transforms into an impressive roaring wall of water rather than a distinct plunge. Shares the same location as Tunnel Cave Falls (aka Arkansas Cave Falls) — together they make one of the most rewarding short waterfall hikes on the entire river. Difficult bushwhack-style approach. Dogs not permitted (NPS rules).
